Client Background

A Canadian Automotive Parts Distributor

An established Canadian distributor of aftermarket automotive parts, looking for a reliable carbon fiber manufacturing partner.

After initial email contact, the customer proposed an in-person factory visit — to verify production capacity, audit the QC process and select the right product range for their market in one trip.

Our team arranged a full workshop walkthrough, brought in engineering and QC staff for live Q&A, and prepared a regional product selection in advance for discussion during the visit.

The Request

What the Customer Came to Verify

01

Factory & Capacity Audit

Confirm the factory is real, the production lines are running, and the capacity matches what was claimed in the email exchange.

02

QC Process Review

Walk through the four-step inspection flow — visual, dimensional, fitment and final — and check real production records.

03

Product Selection

Identify which carbon fiber parts fit the Canadian aftermarket — vehicle coverage, pricing tiers and packaging suitable for cross-border shipping.

Distributor Project FAQ

Questions About This Partnership

Specific to distributor factory visits, first-container orders and regional partnerships. Dealer application process is on the dealer page; general visit policy is in the about page FAQ.

How do I schedule a factory visit? How many days in advance?

Factory visits are by appointment, typically arranged 1–2 weeks in advance so engineering, QC and sales staff are all on site. A standard visit is a half-day — workshop walkthrough, QC review and product selection meeting — and can extend to a full day if a specific product range or project is being scoped. Hotel pick-up and airport transfer are arranged on request.

Can we shoot video or livestream in the factory for our own customers?

Yes, with prior agreement. Approved filming areas cover the layup room, CNC trimming, surface finishing and QC — but exclude other clients' molds, drawings or order tags. For livestreams we ask for a quick walkthrough of the shot plan in advance, so the workshop manager can stage the right areas without disrupting production.

What is the MOQ for a first container? Can it be mixed across product types?

First containers are typically consolidated loads, not single-SKU containers — you can mix exterior parts, interior trims and accessories in one shipment up to the container's volume or weight limit. Minimum line items per SKU are lower than standard MOQ on a confirmed distributor account, so a first container can carry 15–25 different SKUs to test market response.

How is territory exclusivity evaluated? Is it automatic?

Not automatic. Territory exclusivity is reviewed against your market coverage, sales channel, annual volume target and whether a competing distributor is already in place. New distributors usually start non-exclusive; once 6–12 months of sales history shows real market build, regional exclusivity is on the table. The threshold is written into the agreement, not left vague.

Can you do white-label — pack under our brand with no AMXNX marks?

Yes. White-label is standard for distributor accounts — outer cartons, inner product packaging, manuals and inspection tags can all carry your brand instead of AMXNX. Some customers also ask for unbranded neutral packaging, which is also supported. Just share your brand assets (logo files, color codes, packaging layout) and we will mock up before production.
