Your first branded shipment should not be the first time you see how your logo appears on the product or carton. Artwork, label content and packaging can each create a different result even when everyone believes they have approved “our standard branding.”
Approve private-label carbon fiber work in separate steps: product identity, permitted branding location, artwork revision, packaging content and a clearly defined approval record. Branding an existing part is also different from developing an exclusive product.
CCF reviews private-label requirements according to the product and project. Use the OEM and ODM project page to start a scope discussion rather than assuming every catalog item supports the same branding method.

Concept illustration.
Define the branded offer before designing the box
Identify the underlying product and supplied version. Confirm whether you want a product mark, a label, a branded carton, an insert or several of these. A request for “private label” does not tell the factory which surfaces or materials you intend to change.
Explain where you sell and what information must accompany the product. Your business should provide and approve its required labeling content with appropriate market advice where necessary; do not expect a decorative mockup to establish compliance for every destination.
Use one artwork revision
Give each approved artwork file a revision and date. Specify logo proportions, color references, placement and the relevant dimensions. State which file supersedes earlier versions. Screenshots in a messaging thread can support discussion, but should not become the only production reference.
| Approval item | What to identify | What to approve |
|---|---|---|
| Product | SKU and version | The item receiving the branding |
| Mark | Artwork file and position | Appearance and permitted method |
| Carton | Size or packaging reference | Printed surfaces and protective scope |
| Insert | Document revision and language | Exact included content |
| Label | Fields and attachment location | Readability and product identification |
| Sample or proof | Reference and date | What the proof actually represents |
Do not assume a digital box rendering confirms the physical printing result. Ask whether the review is an artwork proof, packaging sample or finished branded-product sample, and what remains unverified.
Keep branding away from functional assumptions
A mark must not conceal a product identifier or interfere with an interface. Discuss feasible locations with the supplier instead of specifying a position from the front photograph alone. Confirm the agreed method for the actual surface.
Packaging appearance also needs to coexist with protection. A premium retail box may need separate transit protection for international supply. Review the large carbon-part shipping checklist before treating visual packaging approval as shipping approval.
Close the approval with a release record
Record the product version, artwork revision, proof reviewed, accepted exceptions and remaining actions. Specify whether the approval releases artwork production, a sample or the batch. If the logo changes afterward, request a change review rather than assuming production will stop automatically.
The OEM/ODM complete guide provides the wider development context. Keep ownership, exclusivity and branding permissions explicit; using your logo does not by itself establish an exclusive mold or territory.

Suggested buyer workflow. Follow the product-specific specification and agreed order terms where applicable.
An artwork release record
Use this record as a buyer working tool. Examples and sample labels below are illustrative, not CCF inspection, order or test records.
| Record | Example or required entry |
|---|---|
| Revision | Record the approved artwork filename and revision; mark earlier versions superseded. |
| Application | Specify carton, label or other packaging surface; do not silently include product-body marking. |
| Release | Name the approving business role, date and scope; unresolved regulatory or product details stay open. |
A useful release says exactly which artwork and location may be used. Approval of a logo does not approve every statement printed next to it.
Questions buyers ask
Is private labeling available from one piece? Standard catalog ordering and branding requirements are different scopes. Ask for the applicable quantity, setup cost and review steps for your branding request.
Can I approve everything from a box mockup? Only the elements it actually demonstrates. Product fit, printed color, packaging protection and included accessories may need different evidence.
