A polished product photo can help you choose a design. It cannot tell your shop whether the item on the bench is the version in your quotation, what its rear mounting surface looks like, or which accessories will arrive with it.
A useful remote carbon fiber sample review connects one identifiable sample to a continuous overview, close-up inspection, defined measurements and a written list of unresolved questions. Use it to decide what to investigate next—not to replace every physical or vehicle-specific check.

Concept illustration.
Start with an identification shot
Send the supplier your quotation reference and the exact questions you need answered. Ask the recording to begin with the whole sample and a temporary reference card identifying the product, version and recording date. Keep the card beside the part as the camera moves around it.
For a pair, request both pieces together before close-ups of each side. For a multi-piece front lip, ask for every section and the stated attachment hardware in one frame. This makes an attractive close-up traceable to an actual order configuration.
Request a sequence, not a highlight reel
Give the person filming a short shot list. A slow, continuous overview is more useful than quick cuts between the best-looking areas.
| View | What your buyer should assess | What it cannot establish alone |
|---|---|---|
| Complete front and rear | Shape, piece count and visible construction | Confirmed vehicle compatibility |
| Surface under moving light | Visible finish variation and reflections | A complete cosmetic acceptance decision |
| Edges and mounting interfaces | Tabs, flanges, holes and apparent damage | Load capacity or installation torque |
| Accessories laid out | Items presented with the sample | What the final quotation includes |
| Agreed dimensions | Particular distances with visible endpoints | Full geometric accuracy |
Ask for the original-resolution files where practical. A compressed messaging preview can hide surface detail. If reflections obscure an area, request another angle rather than treating a bright white patch as a confirmed coating defect.
Define any measurement before the call
“Show the length” is ambiguous on a curved part. Mark the two endpoints on a reference image and say whether you need a straight-line distance or a measurement following the surface. Ask the recording to show the starting point, the ending point and the reading.
Do not calculate a fitment conclusion from one overall dimension. For side skirts, end geometry and mounting surfaces can matter even when total lengths look similar. For a diffuser, the exhaust opening alone does not establish attachment compatibility.
Record three possible outcomes
After the review, classify each question as shown clearly, needs another view, or requires physical verification. Avoid a single “approved” message if all you have approved is appearance.
A useful response is: “We have reviewed the visible surface and supplied piece count for this sample. Mounting compatibility remains pending a trial fit on the specified vehicle.” Save the video, quotation version and your response together.
Before a larger purchase, use the sample inspection guide to define what your shop will check when the part arrives. Review the dealer product-data requirements for information that video should accompany.

Suggested buyer workflow. Follow the product-specific specification and agreed order terms where applicable.
Worked example: close a remote sample review
Illustrative review record—not an actual CCF inspection. The buyer is considering one three-section front lip kit. The purpose is to decide what the video has resolved, not to approve installation.
| Record | Example or required entry |
|---|---|
| Identity | The reference card matches the quoted design; the factory SKU is still awaiting written confirmation. |
| Piece count | Three main sections are shown together. The hardware bag is absent from the recording. |
| Finish | The center section is visible under moving light; the outer edge is obscured by glare. |
| Decision | Request a hardware inventory and a second edge view. Keep vehicle fitment outside the approval. |
Copy this reply: “We reviewed the visible center surface and three-section layout. Please identify the factory SKU, show the outer edge without glare and confirm the included hardware. This response does not release bulk production or approve vehicle fitment.” The review is complete only when each open question has an owner and an answer.
Questions buyers ask
Can video confirm dry-carbon construction? A visible weave and glossy surface do not establish the manufacturing process. Request the construction specification separately; use video for observable details.
Can the filmed sample represent the bulk order? Only within an agreed specification and approval scope. Identify the reference sample and document which requirements future supply must meet.

Request the evidence before committing the job
Do not ask for “more photos” and hope the right ones arrive. Send CCF your selected product references and a short review list. Ask which photographs, videos and specifications are available for those exact products, then resolve the missing evidence before quoting a customer installation.
